Terms of service for users ages 13-17

Welcome to FutureVoter, a project of VoteAmerica! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for using our websites, applications, and tools (collectively, the “Services”). This includes FutureVoter and tools related to voter registration reminders and civic participation.

By using our Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Please read carefully, and if you have questions, talk with a parent or guardian.

Who we are

VoteAmerica is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization working to increase voter turnout in the U.S. Some of our programs, like FutureVoter, are designed especially for young people ages 13–17.

Who can use our Services

You may use our Services if you:

  • Are at least 13 years old;
  • Are a U.S. citizen;
  • Use the Services in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

If you are under 18, you can still use our Services, including FutureVoter, with the understanding that some features (like donations) are only for adults. Parents and guardians should review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle youth information.

Your responsibilities

When using our Services, you agree to:

  • Provide your real name and accurate information;
  • Keep your information up to date;
  • Not pretend to be someone else;
  • Not break the law or interfere with our systems;
  • Not use our services for harmful, illegal, or misleading actions.

Messaging and communications

If you share your phone number or email, we may send you election reminders, voting information, or updates. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text or emailing privacy@voteamerica.org.

FutureVoter

FutureVoter helps young people ages 13–17 pledge to vote or pre-register (where allowed by law). We never sell or share personal information from users under 18. Your information is strictly confidential and used only for civic engagement.
