Add the FutureVoter tool to your website
If you own a website, you can help teens pre-register to vote by adding the FutureVoter tool to your site.
The FutureVoter tool, developed by VoteAmerica, is designed to guide U.S. citizens between the ages of 13 and 17 through the pre-registration process in their state. The system will even send them reminders via email and text anytime action is required — like on their 18th birthday, when it’s time to verify that their registration is active.
Embedding the software is free and easy. Just follow these steps:
- Sign up for a free VoteAmerica account.
- Check your email and accept the invitation you’ll find there to finish setting up your account.
- Log in to the VoteAmerica portal with your newly created credentials.
- Once logged in, visit the "Embed codes" page to access your unique software embed codes. You’ll want to copy the code for the FutureVoter tool.
- Paste the embed code within the code of your website where you want the tool to appear — just like how you would embed a YouTube video.
If you have any questions, check out our documentation or email us at sales@futurevoter.com.
Your free account also gives you access to VoteAmerica’s other software to support voters 18 and older. If it makes sense for your audience, feel free to embed other tools, too, such as those for verifying your voter registration, looking up your polling place, and more.
